Opal is a leading global packaging manufacturer with 80 sites across ANZ, we are an essential service and we have an exciting new opportunity for an Account Manager to join our corrugated packaging sales team in Auckland.


In this role you will be responsible for managing an existing portfolio of customers and developing new business opportunities.


Your customer portfolio has a diverse customer base ranging from key customers to mid-sized companies within a variety of industries such as FMCG, manufacturing, food, beverage, resellers and many more.


You will contribute to the success of Opal by:


  • Developing productive relationships with your customers and focus on growing sales and building margins by increasing share of wallet or value engineering
  • Seeking out opportunities to develop new business opportunities
  • Being technically minded and wanting to learn about our product and the way its manufactured
  • Having the ability to work with customers at any level within an organisation
  • Developing and delivering customer solutions

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;


  • Demonstrated account management experience where you have grown share of wallet with an existing customer portfolio
  • Established track record of hunting and closing new business, building relationships and business with new customers
  • B2B solution selling experience
  • The ability to manage multiple competing priorities and customer projects concurrently
  • Resilience, plenty of energy and lots of enthusiasm
