Opal Packaging is an industry-leading packaging and consumables business. We are currently looking for a Supply Planner to join the team at our Banksmeadow site.

The key focus of this role will be to:

• Lead the short term and long-term Supply Plan, Inventory targets for Finished Goods and Traded Goods
• Prepare capacity plans and reports, and work with the collaboratively with the team to manage inventory
• Play a key role in the further development, improvement and alignment in S&OP process
• Understand the monthly over and under consumption of raw material each month at material level to drive key account manager and customer conversations.
• Attend/ chair weekly and monthly supply planning meetings and provide insight into the drivers of supply changes through working collaboratively with the demand team.
• Oversee master production schedule and movement of products between sites. Responsible for production lot sizes released; ensuring customer demand is adequately catered for.
• Understand the master data that drives the bill of materials and production routings. Flagging any discrepancy to relevant stakeholders for correction.
• Creating capacity planning reports by engaging and liaising with operations and sales, to ensure accurate projections are being made.

For this role we would ideally like you to have:

• 5+ years supply chain and supply/demand planning experience in a large manufacturing/ FMCG organisation/s with a high SKU and customer environment
• Strong working knowledge of various supply planning systems, reporting tools & advanced excel skills (Power Bi skills would also be regarded highly)
• Ability to negotiate and influence senior managers on matter of process and performance
• Understand the end-to-end process of demand and supply planning
• Demonstrate an understanding finite material requirement planning software and ERP systems.
• Have a skill set that includes experience with process improvement within a site that utilises lean manufacturing principles.
