We have an exciting new opportunity to join the Opal Recycling team as the Operations Manager NSW based at the B9 Botany Paper Mill in Botany, NSW.

Reporting into the Business Manager NSW, this is a key individual contributor role for us in our transformation journey in NSW. A high-impact role managing logistics linked to customer collections, safety, service, and supplier performance across 400,000+ tonnes of recyclables.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

• Developing and monitoring data to support operational initiatives and optimise outcomes
• Developing dashboards and reporting that support data driven decision making
• Successfully scaling our contractor network to support business growth
• Effectively navigating the complexity of a subcontractor-led logistics network
• Ensuring there is a laser focus on service reliability, safety and quality
• Working closely with sales to drive stronger collaboration and service-led growth

Specifically, for this role, we expect you will have;

• Experience in a similar role in recycling, waste management or other service type environment
• Well developed analytical and data skills, the ability to utilise data effectively and create dashboards that will provide more visibility and clarity for the business
• An understanding of subcontractor models and complex logistics
• Good communications skills and confidence dealing with customers and suppliers
• A continuous improvement mindset and be someone that challenges the status quo
