We have a new opportunity available for a true new business sales hunter to join our Opal Packaging Plus (OPP) sales team in NSW as a Business Development Manager. Our OPP sales team has recently integrated with our Opal Specialty Packaging sales team, so you will have the opportunity to sell a broad range of products across industrial packaging consumables and also bespoke Opal manufactured corrugated packaging solutions.

 

Opal in ANZ is an essential service and can offer both financial and job stability as well as opportunities for long term career growth.

 

This is a 100% new business development role where you will prospect and hunt for new business opportunities and then retain those new accounts for 1 year before handing over to an account manager.

 

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

  • Using your expertise to generate leads and new business opportunities
  • Meet with prospective customers in person, providing a consultative solution-selling approach to understanding their business needs, and how we can provide value to their organisation
  • Establishing and growing newly won accounts before handing over to an account manager

  • An established track record of developing and winning new business, building relationships and business with new customers
  • Resilience, persistence and plenty of energy and passion
  • Previous experience in a 100% new business development role in a competitive market
  • Prior experience selling business consumables and services, a technical sales background or experience in trade sales
  • CRM experience, ideally good working knowledge of Salesforce
