Partnering with sales, operations and supply chain functions, the Supply Planning Manager is responsible for refining and optimising the supply and production planning processes across the Mill to deliver superior customer service at agreed inventory levels and cost.  Leading a team of four planners, this will include;

  • Managing the Master Production Schedule balancing operational efficiency, inventory targets and customer demand

  • Leading the response to Supply decisions in times of critical supply issues to ensure continuity of supply to Opal sites and strategic customers
  • Managing inventory policy and management of all product inventory for the Maryvale site.
  • Collaborating with business resources and stakeholders to ensure all the information requirements on capacity planning and network modelling are accurate
  • Identifying Supply Chain Improvement Opportunities to deliver reduction of costs, reduced inventories or an improvement in service levels
  • Contributing to divisional S&OP Planning
  • Providing operational and thought leadership to the Supply Planning/Scheduling team and contributing to Opal wide supply chain improvement initiatives and projects.
