As Regional Sales Manager – VIC Northern Region, you will play a pivotal leadership role in driving targeted revenue growth and gross margin performance across the region. This is a high-impact position focused on identifying new opportunities, unlocking value streams, and strengthening Opal’s presence—particularly within the fresh produce sector.
We are seeking a commercially astute professional who brings established relationships and networks within the fresh produce industry, and who is motivated to leverage these connections to deliver sustainable growth.
You will be instrumental in aligning internal capabilities with customer expectations, ensuring Opal remains a trusted partner while achieving ambitious growth targets.
You will contribute to the success of Opal by:
- Taking full ownership of regional growth, pipeline development, and market intelligence, with a strong focus on expanding our footprint within the fruit and fresh produce industry.
- Preparing and delivering budgets and forecasts that prioritise market share growth across the Northern Region.
- Acting as a key interface between Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and customers, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional service outcomes.
- Approving proposals and contract terms within business guidelines, ensuring both commercial viability and customer satisfaction.
- Setting clear goals and tracking performance through defined KPIs, driving accountability and results.
- Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, both internally and across customer organisations, identifying key decision-makers and influencers.
- Regularly visiting customer sites to develop and strengthen relationships, understand evolving needs, and ensure Opal’s solutions continue to deliver value.
- Proactively identifying opportunities to enhance customer service, drive value engineering initiatives, improve margins, and increase Share of Wallet (SOW).
- Championing cross-divisional selling opportunities, including adjacent product lines and non-corrugated solutions, to maximise overall business growth.
