Opal Fibre Packaging Australia provides a full service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging from design and product testing through to supply chain integration. We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our tight-knit team at our site in Shepparton.

The key focus of this role will be to:

• Managing the work performance of our crew at the depot and ensuring that KPI’s are met
• Upholding safety standards for the site and ensuring that PPE is worn correctly
• Lead the operations crew at the site (including a machine setter, operators & forklift drivers)
• Ensure machine breakdowns are immediately dealt with including mechanical troubleshooting and some repairs
• Ensure work areas are maintained to the highest standard and that housekeeping activities are regularly undertaken
• Set up the site’s machinery for the day and coordinate changes with the machine setter
• Build engagement and trust with employees through regular, open communications

For this role we would ideally like you to have:

• Experience managing teams in a hands-on manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Mechanical aptitude (trade experience would be viewed favourably but is not required)
• The ability to be adaptable and keep calm under pressure
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience leading labour hire staff would be viewed favourably (but is not a requirement)
