We are seeking a high-calibre Environment Manager to join our Maryvale Paper Mill team. Reporting to the Head of Safety and Environment, this is a critical individual contributor role designed for a technical expert who thrives in the complexity of heavy industry.

In this role you will:

• Act as the primary technical liaison with Authorities (including EPA Victoria and Gippsland Water). You will lead the charge on statutory reporting, including NGERS, NPI, and EPA Performance Statements
• Oversee our comprehensive monitoring programs, including air quality, groundwater, landfill, noise, and odour
• Keep our ISO 14001 EMS audit-ready and integrated into the daily rhythm of the mill
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for incidents and identify proactive opportunities such as energy efficiency and odour reduction
• Serve as a trusted advisor to people leaders, translating complex environmental data into actionable strategies for employees and contractors

What you’ll bring….

Whether you are a seasoned industry professional or a high-potential individual ready for a "step-up" role, we value:

• A bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline

• An understanding of Victorian environmental legislation, regulatory licensing, and EMS frameworks
• Experience in heavy industry or large-scale manufacturing. You aren't afraid to get out on-site and understand the process
• The ability to spot a trend in the data before it becomes an issue
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence a diverse workforce
