Our Opal Fibre Packaging business is currently seeking a proactive, hands-on, and safety-focused Depot Supervisor to lead site operations at our Bundaberg, QLD depot.
Bundaberg is one of our key regional hubs, supporting a broad and dynamic range of fresh produce growers across crops such as avocados, mangoes, sweet potatoes, and strawberries. In this role, you will maintain operational continuity, uphold safe working practices, and drive overall performance to ensure we deliver consistent, high-quality packaging solutions to our regional customers.
You will contribute to the success of Opal by:
- Leading by example to achieve Zero Harm through hazard reporting, risk management and standard operating procedure compliance
- Overseeing the day-to-day operation of erecting and production machinery, ensuring lines run on time, materials are staged efficiently, and quality standards are consistently met
- Managing labour allocation and ensuring optimal resource utilisation to maintain peak output while effectively managing operational costs
- Providing technical and operational support on the floor when required to keep equipment and production running smoothly

The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical or technical mindset, combined with proven frontline supervisory experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or depot environment.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in production, depot, or machinery-heavy operations, ideally supporting the agricultural, packaging, or FMCG sectors
- Strong technical, mechanical, or trade background (e.g., fitting, welding, or machine setting capabilities are highly advantageous) with a proven ability to troubleshoot equipment and maintain line flow
- Solid practical experience managing hazard identification, incident investigations, and safe systems of work
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate crews, plan daily work schedules, manage inventory, and optimise labour during both standard and peak seasonal volumes.
