Discover the Opportunity Production Planner & Inventory Controller

To manage all planning activities that ensure production targets are consistently achieved in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner. This includes the analysis of production data to improve DIFOT & PIFOT performance and use of a supply chain simulator for effective forecasting.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

  • Analyse production & flows throughout the plant to generate cost effective plans.
  • Analyse data including machine efficiencies, labour allocation & PIFOT and provide recommendations to enable improvements.
  • Work with production/despatch team leaders, and customer service to ensure daily plans are actively monitored and efficiently achieved.
  • Participate in daily production meetings with customer service & actively provide feedback on machines and customer orders.
  • Schedule preventative maintenance time with the engineering team to ensure planned machine downtime occurs.
  • Perform analytical reporting as per business requirements, including daily performance and PIFOT reports.
  • Perform root cause analysis to investigate DIFOT improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in the monthly planning & sales forecast as required by the supply chain and planning manager.

  • Certificate IV or higher in Supply Chain Management
  • Sound planning industry experience within a FMCG &/or batch manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of 'Just in Time' manufacturing principles
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills in SAP, Kiwiplan, Microsoft excel, supply chain simulator.
  • Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and listening (The ability to clearly explain and communicate complex data and trends)
  • The ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders to secure agreement to operate new systems and processes to assist with planning needs.
