Opal Fibre Packaging Australia provides a full service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging from design and product testing through to supply chain integration. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Planner to join the team at our site in Bibra Lake/ Spearwood.

The key focus of this role will be to:

• Planning and scheduling preventative and corrective maintenance activities across the site
• Oversee the administration of the CMMS system, ensuring systems are up to date
• Work closely with maintenance & production teams to ensure parts availability aligns with planned maintenance schedules
• Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce planned and unplanned downtime
• Review and analyse work schedules for completion rates, to identify potential efficiencies and improvements
• Liaise with production teams to confirm shutdown dates for preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance
• Assist in the coordination of contractors onsite

For this role we would ideally like you to have:

• A strong technical background with a mechanical and / or electrical trade qualification
• Experience in maintenance planning, spare parts management and maintenance purchasing
• Experience using CMMS for managing planning and scheduling  ( SAP experience will be highly regarded.)
• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment, plant maintenance practices and critical spare parts
• Demonstrated communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively maintenance & production teams
• Experience with purchasing processes, inventory management and supplier coordination.
• Experience with budgeting for maintenance areas would be ideal (but is not a mandatory requirement)
