Our Opal Packaging Plus (OPP) team in Wangara have a new opportunity available for a Customer Service Officer. OPP is part of our Opal Specialty Packaging division and sells a broad range of industrial and packaging consumable products.


This role forms part of our customer service team who are responsible for the servicing of OPP customer requirements and provision of sales support. Key responsibilties of this role will be processing customer orders, resolving customer complaints, providing sales support, keeping on top of stock movements and some general administration duties.


You will contribute to the success of Opal by:


  • Processing sales orders for customers, both repeat orders and new orders
  • Responding to all customer queries, either via telephone, email or walk-ins, in a timely, calm and professional manner
  • Maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders i.e. Sales Team, Warehouse Team, Purchasing Team
  • Maintaining customer records (including opening of new Customer Account Applications)
  • Keeping track of stock movements (slow-moving stock, stock hold, stock forecasting) to ensure ability to respond to queries

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;


  • At least 1 years’ experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, ideally knowledge in using SAP or similar ERP system
  • Customer focused and good team player attitude
  • Strong time management skills including ability to juggle multiple competing priorities
  • Meticulous, detail oriented and well organised
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
