We have a new leadership role available as the Site Maintenance Manager for our Opal Fibre Packaging business in Scoresby, VIC.

 

This role will work closely with our shift maintenance teams to troubleshoot and problem solve issues across the site, ensuring that plant and equipment is maintained to perform at optimum levels.

 

Key to success in this role will be providing support to your team to foster a culture of both proactive and reactive maintenance excellence. This will involve coaching and mentoring the team, providing guidance around best practice, articulating clear expectations and KPIs and enabling the team to reach their full potential.

 

You’ll be the kind of leader that enjoys being on the site floor, someone who isn’t afraid to have tough conversations when needed and has a strong track record around building cohesive and productive teams. All this while putting safety at the centre of everything you do.

About you….

We are looking for an experienced people leader who can navigate a complex industrial environment and maintain professional composure under pressure.

 

For this role we would like you to have:

  • A qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering (trade or degree)
  • Experience working in a maintenance manager role within manufacturing
  • Success in managing and leading teams to achieve expected reliability outcomes
  • A good track record of driving accountability in a unionised or complex workforce
  • Well-developed communication skills and relationship building skills, effectively communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders
