You will be responsible for providing support, guidance and coaching across injury management and rehabilitation for workers' compensation (WC), wage insurance (WI) and income protection (IP) claims for Opal sites across Victoria.

This includes:

• Provide clinical expertise, monitor and drive the integrity of medical information as it relates to claims
• Adopt and foster evidence-based injury management and RTW practices
• Manage non-work-related injuries/illnesses to determine appropriate strategies to support in consultation with internal personnel
• Support and coach site RTWCs in applying early intervention claims management strategies and provide ad hoc advice and direction
• RTW/IM coaching and development for site RTWCs (remote or on site), conduct group training or one on one as required 
• Review IM/RTW expenditure and identify cost mitigation strategies

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;

• Must hold a tertiary qualification in allied health or related field
• Knowledge and understanding of the OH&S Act
• Accident Investigation Practices and Procedure
• 5-8 years of experience in rehabilitation work environment
• Training in Workplace Assessment desirable
• Current VIC Return to Work Coordinator certification desirable
