Discover the Opportunity – Project Delivery Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Opal Centre of Excellence as a Project Delivery Lead focussing on the delivery of projects in the Supply Chain and Procurement domain.

Your primary accountabilities include the management and reporting of all key Supply Chain and Procurement projects (including scope, schedule, budget, risk, dependencies and benefits versus targets). This will be achieved by applying standardised governance frameworks and project management methodologies

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

  • Manage and report scope, issues, constraints, risks, assumptions and change control process throughout the project life cycle.
  • Planning, budgeting, and managing performance against budget.
  • Manage, maintain and report project status vs key program indicators.
  • Assess, identify and manage project risk and opportunities.
  • Ensure project delivery in line with policy, procedures and guidelines.
  • Consistently utilise standard tools, mindsets and ways of working to support best practice in project delivery.
  • Support decision making processes with business stakeholders by presenting options and consequences at key decision points for the project.
  • Support change management efforts required to maximise project benefits.
  • Embed Opal values of Safe, Agile, Extraordinary, Trustworthy and Collaborative into the way projects are delivered.

  • Bachelor's Degree; Project Management qualifications desirable.
  • Understanding of the supply chain and procurement disciplines.
  • Demonstrated practical knowledge of successfully leading and managing the execution of projects.
  • Experience in managing complex stakeholder groups.
  • Be an energy source, challenge yourself and others to create outstanding business outcomes.
  • Strong influencer able to create and foster strong working relationships and lead a cross functional project team of SME’s.
  • Strong process focus and completion drive - Able to work to deadlines and energise others to do so.
