Discover the Opportunity - Project Coordinator

The role is responsible for supporting key operational projects (e.g. CAPEX, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Standard costing, machine data logging, ERP, etc.) through effective support, influence and guidance of each Project. Activities will include building and monitoring project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures, organising and participating in stakeholder meetings and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner.


You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Identify and manage any risks associated with the project with adequate plans in place to address
  • Identify operational trends and process improvement opportunities that can be incorporated into the project 
  • Developing project strategies while ensuring project timelines are met and facilitating any required changes
  • Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members

  • Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or Engineering and min 3-4 years relevant Project Management Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating several projects in IT and manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Project Management methods
  • Demonstrated highly developed organisational, time management skills, record management and general office administration skills including ability to exercise initiative, discretion, judgement and work independently
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Project Management software
  • High attention to detail, excellent time management and result driven
  • Team player attitude
