Our People, Culture and Safety team is looking for a passionate Organisational Development Specialist to join our Capability & Talent Centre of Excellence. Based at our Burnley site in Melbourne and reporting to the GM – Capability and Talent, you will play a key execution role in strengthening leadership capability, performance culture, and organisational effectiveness across Opal ANZ.

 

Whether you are an established OD practitioner or an experienced HR Business Partner/Generalist looking to pivot into a specialist role, this is your chance to take ownership of enterprise-wide initiatives.

 

You will partner closely with HRBPs and business leaders to:

  • Design and develop leadership development programs aligned to our newly designed Leadership Habits and partner with HRBPs to implement targeted leadership team capability and cohesion
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Opal’s performance management framework
  • Help facilitate our talent pilot programs for critical leadership roles and support the Women in Leadership program
  • Roll out key projects like our annual engagement survey and work hand in hand with HRBPs to implement meaningful action plans
  • Work with our systems team to refine our SuccessFactors LMS and manage key vendor relationships within the OD space

You are someone who thrives on building capability in others and isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to move a project from design to delivery.

 

You will complement our team by bringing:

  • A background in organisational development, talent management, or a generalist HR role with a strong track record of implementing talent practices
  • Confidence in leading group workshops and coaching conversations, with the ability to influence and build credibility with diverse stakeholders
  • A passion for evolution—working closely with the team to refine programs and ensure our solutions are practical and sustainable
  • Comfort using people data to drive insights and experience (or a willingness to learn) with SuccessFactors or similar LMS platforms
  • A degree in HR, OD, Psychology, or Business
