An opportunity has now arisen for an accomplished Sales leader to develop and execute the sales strategy for the Opal Bags Solutions division.   This division manufacturers a diverse range of heavy duty, walled paper bags used by our customers in the food and dairy sector.

 

You will lead a small but geographically dispersed team in the pursuit of delivering profitable sales growth through outstanding customer satisfaction and a commitment to commercial excellence.  As an integral and contributing member of the Opal Bag Leadership Team you will be responsible for;

 

  • Developing and implementing strategy, policy and plans for the sales and marketing activities of Opal Bags Solutions. 
  • Providing leadership and support to the Sales team to enable them to optimise their performance and outcomes for the business.
  • Maintaining a high profile in the industry and ensuring Opal is well represented in the markets in which we operate.
  • Anticipating future opportunities through environmental changes, competitor activities and innovation.
  • Responsibility for overseeing the negotiation processes of national tenders and growth opportunities across our customer portfolio.

 

The outstanding person we seek for this business critical role will be degree qualified in a relevant discipline and have;

 

  • Demonstrable experience in driving sales growth
  • Previous experience in a sales leadership role with an organisation that has a manufactured/technical product offering.
  • Exposure to FMCG customers (particularly dairy would be highly regarded) and experience with export markets
  • Outstanding commercial acumen, presentation and communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for business excellence and developing high peforming teams
