Reporting to the Head of HR Services, our HRIS Specialist will be responsible for the maintenance of all modules within Opal’s HCM platform (SAP SuccessFactors), facilitating innovation, optimisation and improvements whilst also ensuring system integrity through comprehensive system controls, security and governance.


This role plays a critical part in enabling successful delivery of HRIS services across our ANZ organisation. Those services are provided using a range of modules within SAP SuccessFactors including EC, LMS, P&G, Compensation, Recruiting, Onboarding 1.0 and SuccessFactors integrations with PeopleDoc, DocuSign, ServiceNow and Employee Central Payroll.


You will contribute to the success of Opal by:


  • Delivering Subject Matter Expertise for SAP SuccessFactors, including troubleshooting and resolving system problems, performing scheduled activities and recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements
  • Managing the escalation and resolution process with SAP, serving as the escalation point for all in-scope module related issues and engage SAP for timely and effective resolution
  • Developing and delivering user procedures, guidelines and documentation and conducting training needs analysis to design and deliver user training on new/updated processes/functionality as required
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to scope out business requirements and provide project management support for system enhancements, service improvements and variations to established process from scoping to testing and implementation
  • Supporting the payroll and project team with subject matter advice and input and collaborate as required towards relevant project milestones
  • Maintain integrity of overall role security protocols as per Opal’s agreed design, including determining scope of permissions and data access for users.

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;


  • Demonstrated experience in a specialist HRIS focused role using SAP SuccessFactors, certification in Employee Central or any module of Success Factors is essential
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time-management skills  
  • Previous experience in working with HR policies, roles and frameworks with ability to correlate end to end processes with technology
  • Exposure to system project implementations and understanding of project management principles and/or methodology.
