This position will work within our Business Solutions Centre (Shared Service Centre) at our Hawthorn head office and provide general HR administrative support for all processes and key initiatives within the end to end employee lifecycle across ANZ. This role will have a strong customer centric and service delivery focus, leveraging Opal’s HR digital platform, SAP SuccessFactors.


You will contribute to the success of Opal by:


  • Coordinating and facilitating onboarding and induction of new team members, including the provision of new employment contracts
  • Taking responsibility for any master data entry and changes to employee records within our HRIS
  • Providing 1st level helpdesk support and advice on HR processes, policies and systems and escalate complex enquiries as appropriate
  • Actioning employee movement and data change workflows in HRIS which may include basic data entry and validation, letter generation and document management
  • Developing standard reports in our HRIS reporting suite to enable self-service. Provide data and analysis on custom reporting requirements including HR metrics, leave, diversity data, labour reporting as required

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;


  • Demonstrated experience in a broad HR administration role – experience in a shared services environment would be advantageous.
  • Highly developed communication skills with a strong customer service and delivery focus. 
  • Very strong attention to detail and time management skills with the ability to deal with high volume transactions.
  • Understanding of Australian employment legislations and awards with previous experience in interpreting HR policies within a set framework
  • Understanding the principles of working with an enterprise HRIS would be advantageous.
  • Advanced competency in Excel with sound analytical skills – previous experience in reporting analytics would be highly advantageous.
