We have an exciting role to join our Opal Fibre Packaging business based in Knoxfield. As the Financial Controller you will be responsible in providing support to the GM Commercial Fibre Australia through managing the monthly reporting, forecasting, and budget process.  This role will coordinate the state finance managers ensuring all work is completed to a high quality within deadlines while also assisting with compliance to internal processes & controls.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

• Participate in the timely completion and management of month end reporting and the forecasting and budgeting process for the region
• Forecasts are presented to General Manager Commercial and Group General Manager (GGM) with the relevant analysis and commentary.
• Co-ordinate the month forecast processes ensuring states accurate complete all requirements.
• Participate in and drive improvements to the Day 3 and monthly forecast process.
• Assist in the provision of information covering variations to budget and forecast and options regarding business opportunities around variances.
• Prepare monthly MIR, MMR & Productivity Reports
• Perform regular 1 on 1’s with direct reports as a means to support direct reports

Specifically, for this role, we expect you will have;

• Degree in Finance, Accountancy or Commerce
• Post Graduate Qualification of either CPA or CA
• Significant experience in working in a large-scale multi-site organisation (8+ years)
• Solid working knowledge of costing in a manufacturing environment; including BOM, manufacturing standard costing
• Understanding of general ledger reporting, forecasting, & budgeting
• Exposure to ERP systems and costing systems (SAP essential)
• Strong leadership experience
