We have a fantastic new opportunity available for an Estimator to join our Opal Fibre Packaging estimating team in Knoxfield, VIC.

This role provides support across quoting and business analytics and works closely with our sales, design, commercial and operations teams.

Reporting to the National Estimating Manager, you will contribute to the success of Opal by;

• Providing day to day quoting support to our sales team members
• Contributing and participating in the tender process from initial quoting through to commercial analysis
• Using Excel and PowerBI tools to provide insights and analytical support to the business by gathering, reviewing and interpreting data
• Improving customer margin by identifying cost savings opportunities on new and existing materials
• Being the key contact in various project work that requires quoting, costing and onboarding of customers
• Developing a sound understanding of our corrugated packaging manufacturing process to be able identify potential cost saving opportunities.
• Providing local & national commercial support including outperformance projects in sales and operations.

Discover Yourself

This is a critical role within Opal’s Operational Leadership community and the successful candidate will compliment us by bringing;

• A degree in finance, accounting, engineering or analytically focused subject
• Ideally some experience working for a manufacturing business
• Standard Costing, Sales Analysis and Financial Management exposure / knowledge
• Systems skills including SAP, PowerBI, Excel
• The ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
• Well-developed financial and business acumen
