This is an exciting opportunity to join our Opal Functional Coatings team as an Engineering and Systems Coordinator based at our Campbellfield site. The objective of the role is to be the key administrator in the areas of plant reliability & SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) that is a crucial part of the site’s business systems. The person will be required to work across multiple system & platforms to analyse & manage data to maintain the current systems in place & to support the business in its endeavour to continuously improve. This opportunity is a Part Time (0.6 FTE).

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

  • Act as the primary administrator for MEX and provide KPI reporting to the greater business.
  • Participate & minute maintenance meetings to continuously improve the MEX system & key KPIs in engineering/maintenance.
  • Raising ‘Corrective’, ‘Capital’, ‘Safety PM’ & other MEX work orders.
  • Purchasing of engineering/maintenance parts & confirming goods receipt for payment.
  • Administrator in Paradigm to maintain & continuously improve the site’s Business Systems to the ISO9001, ISO45001 standards.
  • Provide administrative support to capture all incidents & hazards raised onsite & associated actions required to maintain the SHEQ standards.
  • Ad hoc administrative duties & cover for other team members as requested from time to time.

  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing / Maintenance support function.
  • Previous experience MEX is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in SAP or any other ERP system.
  • Skills/Knowledge which would be highly considered but not mandatory are; Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, Risk Assessments, Work Cover - RTW, Auditing, Structured Problem Solving, HACCP.
  • Willingness to driving & embed change & continuous improvement within the business.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyse & manage data with the ability to generate valuable reports.
