The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the company’s presence in the corrugated packaging industry. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing relationships with key clients, and promoting the company's products and services to potential customers. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of the packaging industry, market trends, and the ability to forge long-lasting client relationships.
You will contribute to the success of Opal by:
- Identify & pursue new business opportunities within the corrugated packaging sector.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to target potential clients, markets, and geographical regions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations to potential clients, showcasing the benefits of the company’s corrugated packaging solutions.
- Create tailored proposals and quotations based on client requirements and budget.
- Work closely with internal design and production teams to ensure client specifications are met, while maintaining profitability and production efficiency.

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;
- Knowledge of the packaging industry, including product offerings, trends, and customer needs.
- Strong track record of securing new business and driving sales growth.
- Strong client relationship-building skills with a focus on providing solutions to customer needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and explain products and solutions to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office, and sales analytics tools.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
