Discover the Opportunity Account Manager – Recycling

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our sales team within our Opal Paper and Recycling business. This is supportive sales team with a great culture, working within a business that’s stable and well-established with plenty of career opportunities for the future.

 

In the role will be focussed on growing profitability and volume across your territory by, developing new business opportunities, developing and growing existing customers and supporting further business development with existing agents.

 

This role will be required to spend time visiting regional customers.

 

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

  • Generate leads and manage Sales Funnel to contractually secure new Suppliers of Cardboard and paper recyclables.
  • Look for opportunities for Cross Divisional Selling and coordination of leads to other Opal businesses (Packaging, bags, shrink wrap, archive boxes etc.)
  • Maintaining and growing sales and gross margin within your existing customer base
  • Developing and delivering customer solutions
  • Using your technical ability to understand the way our customers use our products and how we can add value to their business

  • Sales experience (preferably in waste and recycling management)
  • Experience in Cold Calling
  • Experience in developing relationships at multiple levels of an organisation (from receptionists to CEOs)
  • Ability to create customer plans for current territory, identifying and sizing all major customers and competitor accounts
  • Extremely energetic and enthusiastic person
  • Self-starter with a strong results orientation
  • CRM experience, ideally good working knowledge of Salesforce
