We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Account Manager to join our dynamic team. This critical role focuses on maximizing sales and servicing functions within our specified market, aiming to reach and surpass our business objectives and unlock the full potential of our offerings.

As a Senior Account Manager, you will be instrumental in promoting and developing the sales potential and synergies within the market, identifying, and cultivating sales target market areas with high-quality customers to ensure sustained growth and profitability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Account Management

You will manage a portfolio of existing customers using our online CRM system, Salesforce.com, focusing on identifying customer needs, including strategic direction, market trends, product launches, and key decision makers.

Your goal will be to develop account strategies for profit improvement, maintain long-term business relationships, and manage cross-functional teams to meet customer needs.

 

General Sales

Your responsibility will include achieving set sales budget targets, developing new sales leads for growth, ensuring pricing strategies meet or exceed targets, addressing customer quality and performance complaints, and managing delivery issues effectively. You will also provide customer quotations, manage finished goods and aged stock, and ensure the highest standard of customer service.

 

Communication and Reporting

Working effectively with various teams is key, including Customer Services, Structural Design, and Supply and Demand Planning, to ensure customer agreed KPI’s are achieved.

You will be key to understanding our competitor activities, share market intelligence, and processes for improved commercial outcomes.

 

Challenges and Complexities:

The role presents unique challenges such as maintaining existing accounts with a focus on selling value not price, identifying and negotiating growth opportunities, managing product launches through the supply chain, and maintaining strong internal relationships, including coordination with our Australian team.

 

 

Who We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales account management, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans. You should have experience managing significant accounts (total value of ~$10 million + New Business Targets) and be adept at working with CRM systems like Salesforce.com. Strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively across functions, and a keen understanding of market trends and customer needs are essential.
