Opal Fibre Packaging Australia provides a full service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging from design and product testing through to supply chain integration. We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive Site Admin & Payroll Officer to join the team at our manufacturing site in Launceston.

Providing support across a range of areas, some of the key responsibilities of this role will be to:

• Coordinate payroll and administrative functions in a timely and confidential manner
• Act as a key point of contact for site administration and day-to-day operational support (payroll queries, directing questions to the relevant stakeholders, etc.)
• Preparation and submission of claims under the Tasmanian Freight Equalisation Scheme (TFES)
• Travel bookings requests for staff, wages employees & contractors
• Raise purchase orders for PPE, safety equipment and other relevant raw materials for the site
• Monthly site reporting, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations – uploading relevant data to the relevant system (SAP)
• Record and maintain site employee and contractor records
• General site administration and compliance activities

For this role we would ideally like you to have:

• Experience working within a similar role in financial admin and/ or payroll (this will be a requirement for the role)
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Previous experience utilizing payroll systems
• Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels
• Experience in using SAP would be highly regarded
• Prior exposure to working in a manufacturing environment would be viewed positively but is not a requirement
