We are looking for an experienced salesperson to join our sales team within our Opal Packaging Plus business. This is supportive sales team with a great culture, working within a business that’s stable and well-established with plenty of career opportunities for the future.


Through some recent organisational changes, our product range has broadened to include not only our industrial consumables products but also our bespoke manufactured corrugated packaging solutions as well.


The territory for this role will be Sunshine Coast and North Side of Brisbane. The Opal Packaging Plus business in QLD is based at Rocklea, but you would only be required to be at the office 1-2 times per week.


This is a great time to join this business as we consolidate our sales and product offerings within the Opal Specialty Packaging division.


You will contribute to the success of Opal by:


  • Prospecting and generating leads to develop new business opportunities in your assigned territory
  • Maintaining and growing sales and gross margin within your existing customer base
  • Developing and delivering customer solutions
  • Using your technical ability to understand the way our customers use our products and how we can add value to their business

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;


  • A proven track record of being a successful new business hunter; developing and winning profitable new business
  • The ability to grow share of wallet within an existing customer portfolio
  • Demonstrated B2B solution selling experience, with a focus on selling on value
  • Proven negotiation skills, persuasive ability and an ability to multi-task
  • Self-motivation, alignment with Opal values and a good work ethic
