We have a newly created opportunity to join our Opal Packaging Plus (OPP) business as a Technical Sales and Regional Business Development Manager, based at our Rocklea QLD site.

 

You will be joining our business at an exciting time as we go through a period of transition and growth within this team. This role will focus on driving significant sales growth in Regional Queensland and Northern New South Wales in sectors such as Industrial, Transportation and Fruit & Produce. In addition, this role will also provide technical sales and subject matter expertise for all eco-friendly product initiatives across the OPP business which will also support NPD, commercial and new product trial validation.

 

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

 

  • Promoting new sustainable packaging innovation and identifying market trends for all eco-friendly solutions that are manufactured or sourced by Opal
  • Providing technical product subject matter expertise for all non-core sustainable packaging solutions 
  • Working collaboratively with our existing regional QLD footprint in our fresh produce and protein markets to cross-sell products and services provided by OPP
  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop and execute cross-divisional account plans for national key accounts and develop supermarket strategy for the segment
  • Support the development and coordination of supply chains to support regional customers, in particular managing seasonal demand in the Fruit & Produce sector.

  • A proven track record of being a successful new business hunter; developing and winning profitable new business
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on capability, be intuitive and assertive
  • A sound understanding of technical substrates required for sustainable solutions
  • An ability to work under pressure, while maintaining a calm demeanour during all communications
  • Proven negotiation skills, persuasive ability and people leadership skills
  • An ability to multi-task and prioritise based on managing customer expectations
  • Self-motivation, initiative, and analytical skills
