Opal Fibre Packaging Australia provides a full service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging from design and product testing through to supply chain integration. Working from 5:30am to 2pm, we have an exciting opportunity for a Day Shift Supervisor to join the team at our site in Rocklea, QLD!

The key focus of this role will be to:

• Identify and scope project opportunities to eliminate waste and drive efficient operations
• Coach and support team leaders to drive production targets to meet site budget and efficiency targets
• Support team leaders in identifying and resolving reported concerns and opportunities to drive continuous improvement culture and team member engagement.
• Setting and maintaining high standards for safety in operations, through communication and leading by example
• Working with relevant teams to conduct root cause analysis when issues arise, to ensure high quality standards are upheld
• Support the Shift Manager in developing cross-training and succession plans, ensuring training plans are completed and skills are maintained

For this role we would ideally like you to have:

• Experience in leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment
• A continuous improvement and safety-first mindset
• An inclusive and collaborative approach to leadership
• Experience in driving improvements in relevant KPI’s such as DIFOT and upholding product quality standards would be highly regarded
• Demonstrated experience in using ERP systems (such as SAP) and experience in using Microsoft Office programs (such as Word and Excel)
• A willingness and desire to learn and further develop your leadership skills
• Clear and effective communication skills and coaching skills
