We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join the Opal Fibre Packaging team at our Rocklea, QLD site. In this role you will lead all aspects of engineering and maintenance to support plant operations, equipment reliability, and our ongoing safety and continuous improvement culture.

This pivotal role plays a key part in enabling our production teams to achieve operational targets by ensuring that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability.

Key challenges you’ll lead:

• Bringing together a diverse team across electrical and mechanical trades into a cohesive high-performing unit
• Coaching and mentoring team members with varying levels of skills and training
• Addressing ageing assets and improving site reliability
• Monitoring and managing maintenance budgets, contractors, and inventory controls
• Shifting the mindset from reactive fixes to planned preventative maintenance
• Balancing urgent maintenance needs with ongoing production demands

Ideally you will bring:

• Trade qualifications (Electrical preferred) or relevant tertiary/higher diploma
• Strong people leadership skills with experience managing multi-skilled trades teams
• Extensive experience in maintenance and reliability within high-speed processing or FMCG
• Practical knowledge of SAP or other CMMS platforms
• Demonstrated experience in project management and inventory control
• A proactive, people-focused approach with strong coaching and mentoring skills
• Excellent communication, influencing, and change leadership capabilities
