Opal Fibre Packaging provides a full service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging from design and product testing through to supply chain integration. We have an exciting opportunity for an Inwards Goods Officer to join the team at our site in Rocklea.

The key focus of this role will be to:

• Work with production team to ensure materials, consumables, inks, etc. are available to support operational requirements.
• Procure production consumables, which includes the likes off, inks, caustic, anvils, PPE, glue, wax, starch, and cleaning chemicals.
• Coordinate and implement a structured operations/production store program – upholding a first-in-first-out system (FIFO)
• Identify opportunities to improve system and availability of production consumables and other materials
• Provide insight/ recommendations on items being stocked (e.g., elimination of slow and obsolete stock, etc.)
• Assist maintenance supply coordinator with regular maintenance stores cycle/stock counts and report to relevant stakeholders
• Ensure shipment/freight arrangements are verified and tracked accordingly.

For this role we would ideally like you to have:

• Previous work experience in a warehouse environment would be viewed favourably
• Comfortable in learning systems and processes
• A current forklift license (and experience using forklifts) is required
• Strong communication abilities
• A proactive mindset
• Ability to work with various stakeholders
• Comfortable with completing manual handling tasks as required
